Traditionalism is an approach in modern philosophy and it fundamentally criticizes modernity and modernism. Modernism and modern thought are modern. Traditionalists believe in the revival of knowledge in a sacred and spiritual sense. Christian-Jewish traditionalism and Islamic traditionalism are all rooted in a deviant orientalism that has distorted the East, Eastern issues, and the art and culture of the Islamic world with erroneous and illogical interpretations.
